Paladin Colours

Based on a range of 10 metals the Paladin Colour palette is created to give you a truly classic look. Cast iron radiators do lend themselves to darker colours with the Natural Cast, Old Penny and Old Pewter finishes being amongst the most popular choices.

Paladin paint standard finish is Eggshell but we can also offer the whole range of finishes from a matt to full gloss on request.

Paint - BSC, RAL, F&B, Little Greene or Colour Match

Paladin can paint a cast iron radiator in any Farrow & Ball Estate Eggshell or Little Greene Tom's Oil Eggshell colour.

If you are looking for something different Paladin are happy to offer their Colour Matching service where they have the facility to match almost every colour available. This includes the ever-popular RAL colour ranges as well as British Standard colours or, if you have details of the colour you require, we can match it as closely as possible you can also send us your colour swatches. The standard finish is an Eggshell but if you want a Full Gloss or Satin finish just let us know.

Special Finishes
Hand Finished Antiqued Paint Effect

To complete the look of your cast iron radiators the Paladin Production Team have perfected the art of the hand-finished antique cast iron radiator paint effects. This service is particularly effective on the ornate cast iron radiator styles bringing out the individual beauty of the raised etched mouldings. This antique radiator paint effect is also attractive when used on the plainer radiator styles, bringing an added depth of colour. This antique cast iron radiator paint effect is available on all the metal and historical colours.

Using a contrasting antiquing wash the details are given an authentic aged look picking out the details to transform your radiator into a real work of art.

Hand Finished Highlight Paint Effect

The highlight paint effect is totally unique to Paladin and the Paladin Production Team has perfected this magnificent paint effect over the years to create stunning and individual cast iron radiators that become an amazing eye-catching centrepiece for any room. For that truly dramatic and atmospheric result choose the Paladin highlight paint effect. This paint effect has been specially created by Paladin for ornate cast iron radiators.

The moulded detail of every ornate cast iron radiator is guild paste highlighted by hand on top of the contrasting base colour in a choice of rich gold, striking pewter or warm copper. This is then coated in a clear lacquer to preserve the metallic paste for a long-lasting and hard-wearing finish.

Premium Lacquer

Paladin's new range of colourful Premium Lacquers available in vivd candy colour finishes are sure to make your cast iron radiator stand out from the pack. Please note that the patterned areas are somewhat darker with this finish.

Polished Cast Iron Radiators

Paladin's hand polished cast iron radiators process involves each section of your cast iron radiator being hand polished to produce a handsome highly polished look. Paladin hand polish each section using traditional methods in their Workshop for the best possible effect. The Paladin traditional polishing service polishes the cast iron radiator the traditional way by leaving the back area of the cast iron radiator unpolished, as this area is difficult to reach for care.

The Paladin full polishing service will polish your cast iron radiator at the back areas, perfect if both sides of your polished radiator are on show.

Industrial:

Our industrial look was created to show the best of raw cast iron, firstly we smooth the surfaces then we capture some of the natural patinas under a coat of clear lacquer. A truly inspiring ‘Manhattan loft’ look for interiors where original unadulterated design comes first.

Burnished:

This creates a slightly aged look that works well as a muted but high quality finish that shows off the radiator without being overpowering.

Polished:

This is the most popular and a traditional method of finishing that brings out the very best in your radiator giving an impressive shine that will enhance any interior.

Mirror:

Building further on the traditional Polished finish Mirror finishing brings your polished radiators surface up to the best and brightest possible finish available. It certainly makes a stunning impression.
