Our Bartholomew cast iron radiator is a timeless, plain classic cast iron radiator. Paladin Radiators have faithfully recreated this cast iron radiator from an old hospital radiator from the Victorian era hence we have named this radiator after the famous St Bartholomew Hospital in London. A very handsome and traditional cast iron radiator with simple curvaceous design offering a contemporary feel for the more modern home as well as an authentic smart feel for the period room or barn conversion. The Bartholomew cast iron radiator is available in a choice of 2 heights, 740mm and 570mm.

The Paladin Bartholomew can be delivered fully built and tested up to 14 sections which is about 1200mm long. You may have this radiator in any length but some assembly on site will be required.

Each section is approximately 83mm wide. The lengths of the radiator stated should only be used as a guide as every radiator is bespoke and hand built to your own specification. There will be tolerances for seal compression and milled faces so please don't use these exact measurements to fix pipes. Please call us for more information or to discuss your project.

Primer Finish

A standard radiator is painted with a primer before it is assembled to your specification. If it is ordered in the standard primer finish no other finishing or re-painting is done after assembly. It is expected that the customer will re-prime and paint the radiator themselves.

Each section starts life with a coat of primer, which could be black, grey or a shade of white, but this is not a guaranteed “finish" as the radiator will not be sealed. We strongly recommend that the painting is completed by the manufacturer as they use suitable radiator paint that won't be affected by the heat.

If customers are to choose & paint their own radiators, we do advise seeking advice from a paint professional. The paint finish will not be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

All Paladin radiators are primed in black primer before the radiator is assembled.

Alternately, you can let the Paladin experts paint them in a RAL, metallic, or colour matched paint. We also offer a range of special finishes including Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, polish, lacquer, antiqued paint and highlighted paint.

The above measurements are given for guidance only and should not be used for fitting pipework. All our radiators are bespoke and hand assembled, variations in seal compressions and the machined faces can occur. We can supply measurements after assembly and prior to despatch. We accept no responsibility for customers who choose to install pipe work prior to having their cast iron radiators delivered.
The Bartholomew is available up to 16 sections wide (aprox 1.2m). This will be assembled, painted and fully tested in their UK factory and will come with a 10 year manufacturers guarantee. It can be made any length within reason but it will be shipped part assembled. It will be fully tested before it leaves the factory but as we cannot test the radiator again after assembly on site no manufactures guarantee can be offered and we cannot take responsibility for any damage to the paintwork during assembly. We can supply an assembly tool if required for £100. Touch Up paint is supplied free of charge as standard.

Delivered in around 2-3 weeks, with lead times varying for different finishes. Contact us for up-to-date lead times.

Standard UK Radiator Delivery is £79.99. There is a surcharge for more remote areas. We also deliver worldwide. Up to 4 standard radiators can be shipped on one pallet.

The order will be delivered by a pallet carrier that uses very large articulated vehicles to deliver. If delivery is to be made to a location with restricted access or narrow roads please let us know so a smaller 7.5tonne vehicle (think bin lorry) can be organised.

Please be aware that this is an all-day, pallet delivery which is made kerbside only to the ground floor level of the delivery address. Delivery can take place at any time during the day and you need to make sure that it is safe and legal for the haulier to stop and offload the goods via a tail lift and pallet truck.
