The Sloane | Paladin
The Sloane cast iron radiator design was first produced in America in the 1880's and was later manufactured in Britain under the brand name "Ideal". The Sloane cast iron radiator design is widely known, due to its finely etched detail, as the curly eared princess.The Sloane is a one column cast iron curly eared princess radiator with a wonderfully fine etched detail along is edge crowning to its top with a curled detail. Beautifully elegant,the Sloane cast iron radiator was installed in both public and privately owned buildings during the late Victorian era. The simple handsome design of the Sloane cast iron radiator provides a contemporary look for the more modern setting as well as an authentic look for the period home.
The Sloane cast iron radiator is available in 2 height choices, 450mm and 750mm. Paladins Sloane cast iron radiators are all hand built in the UK workshop by skilled technicians to sizes from 3 - 30 sections and can be custom finished in the colour of your choice or hand polished. They are tested to BS EN 442 certification standards and covered by Paladin's 10 year guarantee. They are delivered to you complete with plugs, bushes and air vents with ½ inch connections ready for installation.

The Paladin Sloane can be delivered fully built and tested up to 16 sections which is about 1200mm long. You may have this radiator in any length but some assembly on site will be required.
Each section is approximatey 77mm wide. The lengths of the radiator stated should only be used as a guide as every radiator is bespoke and hand built to your own specification. There will be tollerences for seal compression and milled faces so please don't use these exact measurments to fix pipes. Please call us for more information or to discuss your project.

All Paladin radiators are primed in black primer before the radiator is assembled.
You can have the radiator like this and you can paint it yourself or alternately, you can let the Paladin experts paint them in a RAL, metallic, Farrow & Ball or colour matched paint. We also offer a range of special finishes including polish, lacquer, antiqued paint and highlighted paint.
