All the BC design copper baths are handmade in a traditional hand-crafted manner, so each piece is totally unique and comes with a 10 year guarantee. Complete the look with a matching basin. Each bath is Hand Finished in the UK. There will be gentle undulations and some colour variation in the finish, so every bath is bespoke to you.
 
Compatible wastes can be bought separately, extended exposed push down nickel waste (bath must be drilled) or push down 60mm (without overflow).
 
 
Copper is an excellent heat conductor and will maintain the water temperature longer than cast iron. The copper basin comes unlacquered so will require maintenance to retain its shine.

Please Note on ‘Living Finishes’
Polished Copper is a ‘living finish’ and will patina over time. Copper baths and basins need preserving to maintain the finish, so please bear this in mind before ordering. BC Designs Copper baths are made from 99.5%+15-18 gauge pure copper. Refer to manufacturers instructions on how to care for your product, Maintenance kits are available.
 
For polished Copper, Brass and Enamel finishes BC Designs recommends the basin is routinely clean with warm water, a non abrasive cloth and dry immediately after use. Avoid dripping taps, sharp objects and the use of harsh chemicals.
 
Maintain the finish by re-applying a wax seal (they recommend Renaissance wax) regularly every 4-6 weeks depending on use. More usage will require more maintenance. 
If the wax wears off and oxidisation develops on the copper surface, clean the bath with a fine metal cleaner, such as Autosol, and then reapply the wax.
 
Please be aware these models are unlacquered / not lacquered and will require regular maintenance to keep them shiny. 
 
The Polished Nickel finish is electroplated on the bath giving a beautiful shiny finish which will develop its own character over time. To keep unlacquered nickel finishes in premium condition, the wax seal should be maintained by regular reapplication. Do not use abrasive metal cleaner on nickel plated items as this could wear through the finish. A small amount of ‘Peek’ metal cleaner can be used on minor tarnishing.
 
Please note that our Copper baths do not come with an overflow so there are slotted and unslotted options available. All overflow holes must be drilled on site.
 
Please note that Copper baths need to be regularly maintained and waxed every few weeks to maintain a shiny, untarnished finish. Do not cut into the plinth – this will void any guarantee.
