DELIVERY INFORMATION

We strive as a company to give the best possible customer service and value.

All heavy deliveries (Radiators, Baths, Fireplace Surrounds, Towel Rails) are made kerbside to the ground floor level of the delivery address. The delivery driver will have a pallet truck to wheel the pallet as close to your property as possible on a flat surface, but cannot go over steps, grass, or gravel.  They also cannot lift anything into your property. Cast Iron is extremely heavy so please make arrangements in advance to have enough help available when delivery is made, at least 2 strong people will be required to move radiators or baths, etc. once delivered kerbside.

Delivery times are merely indicative and are non-binding. Foundry Cast Iron cannot be held liable for any losses incurred by the purchaser, due to late delivery of the order or part thereof. The purchaser is responsible for the supply of all relevant information to facilitate the quoted delivery time e.g. any access issues, fully correct postal address & contact details, etc.  We will be charged for any re-deliveries and we will have to pass this cost to the customer.  We ask that the drivers contact the customer before delivery, but we cannot guarantee this will happen.

Delivery is deemed to have been completed when a consignment note has been signed by an individual who is 18 or over.

If you live in the Highlands and Islands (These postcodes: AB, DD, FK, HS1-9, IV, KA 27-28, KY, KW, PA, PH, ZE2, ZE1) you are probably well used to surcharges for living in such a beautiful part of the UK so please contact us to get an up to date delivery price, as prices vary between manufacturers. We can and do deliver worldwide so again, please contact us to get the up-to-date best delivery prices.

Please note all products should be checked on delivery to make sure there has been no transit damage to the product (although touch-up paint will be supplied by most cast iron radiator suppliers to touch up any small paint scratches from transit damage). If damage has occurred, please email us at info@foundrycastiron.co.uk within 24 hours with photos of the damage, to allow us to make a claim against the courier where we will then be in a position to supply replacement items or parts. In the case of pallet deliveries, the delivery company is required to wait 10 minutes to allow for checking of transit damage. Do not sign if you have not checked as claims cannot be made at a later date if the delivery has been accepted.  Again, please take a photograph and contact us immediately if there is any transit damage.

Delivery Lead Times

Please contact us for up to date lead times as manufacturers' timings can change throughout the year. Bespoke items can take longer than estimated dispatch times. Our "ready-made radiators" are delivered in around 3 working days. All delivery quotations are estimates and Foundry Cast Iron cannot be held liable for any variance to those stated.

Most accessories are sent next day if they are in stock and are sent free of charge using APC or Royal Mail Tracked 24. Orders placed before 2 pm should arrive on the next working day. This service is not available for The Scottish Highlands and Islands or Northern Ireland. Deliveries to these areas will be sent with the Royal Mail or Hermes and may take a few days longer to arrive. Most items are kept in stock, if it isn't possible to send your order for next-day delivery, we will contact you. We can offer Saturday and Early Morning Deliveries if required, please phone for the price.

Storage

When a radiator has been built but will not be accepted for delivery, storage fees may be incurred. Please contact us for more information.

Radiators with a polished finish can be susceptible to patina or oxidization occurring if the bare metal is exposed to damp conditions.  Therefore, you will need to take off any wrapping that will encourage condensation to occur and remain on the radiators, cover them with a breathable cover & store in a dry environment until your radiators are installed.  We do recommend that you do this for all radiators, once they are delivered. If patina does occur, then please refer to the manufacturer's maintenance guide.
