Castrads Finishes
Castrads sand, grind and fettle all edges of their cast iron radiator sections to ensure they’re smooth and free from flashing. They use their own high-quality 2 pack primer which finishes and hardens. Their Signature range of colors is cost-effective and designed to blend into most interiors. You can match your interior with selected Farrow & Ball® paints or choose from their Bare Metals collection for an unparalleled artisan finish. All finishes are covered by their ten-year Ironshield Guarantee.

Castrads light finish 004. A versatile, medium-light grey that works extremely well on cast iron.
Castrads light finish 001. A clean, fresh and completely neutral white. The brightest of whites in our palette. Lends a lightness to radiator and room alike.
Dark bronze-gold with metallic lustre.
Castrads vibrant finish 209. A soft muted blue with a glossy metallic lustre.
Castrads light finish 003. A clean and neutral white that appears bright against darks or cool with lighter tones. A very subtle light grey undertone.
Castrads light finish 002. Our favourite of all the whites. A chalky lime white. Warm tone.
Castrads dark finish 206. Not quite black, dark charcoal grey.
Charcoal grey with a sparkle effect. Adds depth and metallic sheen to any radiator.
Castrads warm finish 103. Modern grey with hints of magenta.

Castrads finish 106. A neutral grey that keeps radiators light and not blocky.
A colour that mimics lead on exterior ironwork, suggestive of Manhattan brownstone buildings. We love this finish in loft-style interiors, paired with accessories in high-shine metallics like Polished Nickel or Brass. A hard-wearing, resistant paint that will not fade with time.

Castrads dark finish 205. A very dark ink-blue that appears black in low light. A commanding finish on all radiators.

Castrads dark finish 204. A gunmetal grey that reflects the true colour of newly exposed cast iron. Our most popular finish is neutral to accompany any colour scheme and gives cast iron radiators a strong but understated presence in any environment.

Deep and lustrous with a mottled effect that subdues the otherwise bright copper tones.
Mottled gold and black produce a rich hue of lustrous bronze-gold.
High-relief black flecks give good contrast with the mid silver highlights to produce an authentic antiqued-silver effect.
Heritage White consists of a base coat and contrasting top coat finished with a semi-matt lacquer to create an effect reminiscent of a weathered exterior painted masonry.

Aged Copper is electroplated individually section by section, creating a pure organic looking aged copper effect. Perfect with our valves and accessories.

The radiator is hand polished to a high sheen, revealing the cast iron’s naturally pitted surface. Radiators in full polish are lacquered with Castrads RustBan to prevent oxidation of iron surface.

The lowest grade of polish. We use coarse abrasives to achieve a low-level lustre.

Dead matt with a textured polished base, this finish give a perfect example of true raw cast iron of a Castrads radiator.
The raw state of the metal is left visible below protective lacquers, leaving the minor imperfections of the cast iron bare to see.
We paint the radiator black and hand polish the ornamentation to achieve a high contrast finish before coating the radiator in a gloss lacquer to seal.
