The Clarendon | Paladin
The Paladin Clarendon cast iron radiator is a traditional Victorian old school cast iron radiator carefully reproduced to be an exact copy of the original, a true classic. Our Clarendon cast iron radiator is named after the Clarendon group of old schools which include Harrow, Eton and Winchester. Being so classic yet plain the Clarendon cast iron radiator lends itself for both contemporary and traditional rooms.
Please read Customisation & Finishes below for information about Primer Radiators
Paladins Clarendon cast iron radiators are all hand built in the UK workshop by skilled technicians to sizes from 3 - 30 sections and can be custom finished in the colour of your choice or hand polished. They are tested to BS EN 442 certification standards and covered by Paladin's 10 year guarantee. They are delivered to you complete with plugs, bushes and air vents with ½ inch connections ready for installation.
The Paladin Clarendon can be delivered fully built and tested up to 18 sections which is about 1200mm long. You may have this radiator in any length but some assembly on site will be required.
Each section of the 440mm high is approximately 62mm wide and the 740mm high is 65mm wide. The lengths of the radiator stated should only be used as a guide as every radiator is bespoke and hand built to your own specification. There will be tolerances for seal compression and milled faces so please don't use these exact measurements to fix pipes. Please call us for more information or to discuss your project.

Primer Finish
A standard radiator is painted with a primer before it is assembled to your specification. If it is ordered in the standard primer finish no other finishing or re-painting is done after assembly. It is expected that the customer will re-prime and paint the radiator themselves.
Each section starts life with a coat of primer, which could be black, grey or a shade of white, but this is not a guaranteed “finish" as the radiator will not be sealed.
We strongly recommend that the painting is completed by the manufacturer as they use suitable radiator paint that won't be affected by the heat. If customers are to choose & paint their own radiators, we do advise seeking advice from a paint professional. The paint finish will not be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.
All Paladin radiators are primed in black primer before the radiator is assembled.
You can have the radiator like this and you can paint it yourself or alternately, you can let the Paladin experts paint them in a RAL, metallic, or colour matched paint. We also offer a range of special finishes including Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, polish, lacquer, antiqued paint and highlighted paint.
