Returns, Cancellations & Guarantees
We want you to be completely delighted with your purchase from Foundry Radiators. Because our products range from off-the-shelf accessories to highly bespoke, hand-built radiators and baths, our returns and guarantee policies vary depending on the item.
Returns & Cancellations Policy

1. Standard Stock Items (Change of Mind)
If you have ordered standard, non-customised items (such as off-the-shelf radiator valves, wall stays, pipe covers, or standard accessories) and simply change your mind:
-
The Window: You have 14 days from the date of delivery to notify us that you wish to return the item.
-
Condition: Items must be completely unused, undamaged, and returned in their original, resaleable packaging.
-
Return Costs: The cost of return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. Because these items can be valuable, we highly recommend using a tracked, insured courier service.
2. Bespoke, Painted & Built-to-Order Items (Non-Returnable)
The vast majority of our cast iron radiators and freestanding baths are custom-built to your exact specifications—including a specific number of sections, bespoke sizing, or custom paint and living finishes (such as Farrow & Ball®, Little Greene®, or hand-polished options).
-
Custom Orders are Unique: Because these items are personalised and manufactured strictly to your individual requirements, they are completely excluded from standard cancellation and return rights.
-
Once assembly, painting, or polishing has commenced in the workshop, we cannot accept cancellations, returns, or exchanges. We strongly advise double-checking all measurements and heat output calculations with your installer before finalising your order.

3. Faulty or Damaged Goods (24-Hour Inspection)

-
Immediate Check: Please unwrap and inspect your items completely upon arrival.

-
How to Report: If there is obvious transit damage, please take clear photographs and contact us within 24 hours on 01903 366440 or at info@foundrycastiron.co.uk.
-
Liability Notice: As per our terms, we cannot accept responsibility for transit damage reported after this immediate window has passed. For minor transit scratches, please use the complimentary touch-up paint provided with your order.

Guarantees & Product Warranties
Investing in premium cast iron means investing in longevity. Our products carry extensive structural warranties backed directly by our manufacturers (including Arroll, Carron, Castrads, and Paladin). To ensure your guarantee remains fully valid, the following conditions must be met:

1. Professional Installation
All cast iron radiators, valves, and luxury bathroom fixtures must be installed by a fully qualified plumber or heating engineer. Your warranty will not cover damage caused by incorrect DIY installation.

2. Mandatory Water Treatment
On completion of your installation, your entire heating system must be handled correctly to prevent internal corrosion:

-
System Flush: The entire system MUST be thoroughly cleaned and flushed to remove all debris, sludge, and flux residues. If a chemical cleanser is used, it must be thoroughly rinsed out.
-
Corrosion Inhibitor: The system MUST be dosed with a premium water treatment inhibitor in accordance with British Standards (BS 5449, BS EN 12828, and BS 7593). This inhibitor protects the internal cast iron from rusting from the inside out.
-
Failure to thoroughly flush and properly dose the system with inhibitor will completely void your product guarantee.

3. Finish and Care Warranties
-
The Wet Clothes Rule: Never use your cast iron radiators to dry wet garments or towels. The moisture can disrupt the curing process of the finish and will void the paint warranty—this is especially damaging for water-based designer paint finishes.
-
Living Finishes (Polished/Oiled/Lacquered): Natural patinas, surface oxidation, and graduations in shade are expected characteristics of raw, polished, or oiled metals over time. Because this is a natural aging process, surface oxidation is not considered a product fault and is not covered under the manufacturer’s warranty. Regular minor maintenance with fine wire wool and non-silicone oil is required to keep oiled finishes looking pristine.
-
Self-Painted Radiators: If you purchase a radiator in its raw primer finish, the paint finish you apply is not covered by our manufacturer’s warranty. We always advise seeking advice from a paint professional or allowing the factory to apply a specialist heat-resistant finish for you.
