The Art Nouveau Cast Iron Fireplace Surround by Carron is characterised by intricate linear design and flowing detailed curves based on natural forms. Using 3D modelling techniques and CNC moulds coupled with traditional casting methods, the Art Nouveau will certainly be a showpiece in any room.
The design derived from the ever-popular Valentine Combination, incorporates a pomegranate as the centrepiece. The Art Nouveau Surround is available two finishes - Full Polished and Black. The Full Polished surround is achieved by a high degree of polishing using fine ceramic abrasives which are then buffed with a stitched polishing mop. This is a timely process that accentuates the detailed features and natural metal finish. The Black Surround is achieved by applying liberon iron paste providing a more traditional appearance.
For Full Polish:
Keep oiled using a thin coat of a light oil such as 3 in 1 oil. This treatment should be carried out twice a year or as required. Any surface rust should be removed using a fine wire wool and then re-oiled. Avoid exposing the cast iron surface to moisture.
For Black Finish:
Coat with an iron paste and buff up to enhance the finish of your fireplace. Do not use spray polish or any other method of cleaning than above. Cast Iron is a natural material, which is subject to minor imperfections and should be considered part of its characteristics.
The order will be delivered by a pallet carrier that uses very large vehicles to deliver. If delivery is to be made to a location with restricted access or narrow roads please let us know so a smaller 7.5tonne vehicle (think bin lorry) can be organised.
Please be aware that this is an all-day, pallet delivery which is made kerbside only to the ground floor level of the delivery address. Delivery can take place at any time during the day and you need to make sure that it is safe and legal for the haulier to stop and offload the goods via a tail lift and pallet truck.
